Introduction
Experience Japan, in collaboration with Gateway Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET), Sonipat, successfully conducted a short-term Japanese language course named 'SAKURA' from 8 July 2024 to 20 July 2024. The course was designed to provide students with an immersive experience in the Japanese language, offering 15 hours of intensive instruction.
Objective of the Course
The primary objective of the SAKURA course was to introduce students to the basics of the Japanese language and to foster an appreciation for Japanese culture. The course aimed to equip students with fundamental communication skills in Japanese, enabling them to engage in simple conversations and understand basic written texts.
Sessions and Participation
The sessions were expertly conducted by Mr. Jitender Mehta (Experience Japan), who brought a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the classroom. A total of 27 students participated in the course, demonstrating GIET's commitment to providing international learning opportunities and exposure to its students.

Dr. Vinay Singhal, the esteemed Principal of GIET, has been a visionary leader, advocating for the integration of practical skills with theoretical knowledge. The course culminated in a certificate awarding ceremony held on 8 August 2024. Ms. Chiaki Suzuki, the Japanese Language Advisor from the Japan Foundation, graciously presented certificates to the students who successfully completed the course.
