Introduction:
'Experience Japan' successfully conducted an educational factory tour for the students of 'Wisdom World School Kurukshetra' on the 20th and 23rd of May, 2024. The event aimed to provide the students with a firsthand experience of Japanese work.
Objective:
The primary objective of the tour was to expose students to international work practices and to enhance their knowledge about probiotics and their role in human health, using Yakult as a case study.
Attendees:
Approximately 100 students from 'Wisdom World School Kurukshetra' participated in the tour, which was hosted at the Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. facility.
Activities Conducted:
The tour was divided into two main sessions:
1. Educational Session:
Conducted by the Yakult team, this session focused on educating the students about the human digestive system and the science behind probiotics. The students learned about the benefits of Yakult and its contribution to boosting immunity.
2. Factory Visit:
The second session was an interactive tour of the Yakult factory. Students observed the production process of Yakult products and were introduced to the stringent quality control measures that reflect the Japanese dedication to precision and cleanliness in the workplace.
Observations:
Students gained valuable insights into the Japanese approach to work, which includes principles such as Kaizen (continuous improvement), 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain), and the importance of teamwork and discipline. The visit also highlighted the significance of research and development in creating health-enhancing products like Yakult.
Conclusion:
The factory tour organized by 'Experience Japan' was a resounding success, providing students with a unique educational experience that combined cultural exchange with scientific learning.
