Report: Cultural Tour by Bright Scholars School Sonipat to Japan Foundation New Delhi

Introduction:

On the 9th of July, 2024, 'Experience Japan' successfully organized a cultural tour to the Japan Foundation New Delhi for the middle school students of 'Bright Scholars School - Sonipat'. This educational excursion was part of the Swagatam Program, aimed at providing students with a hands-on experience of Japanese culture.

Objective:

The primary objective of the tour was to immerse the students in the rich cultural heritage of Japan, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of international cultures.

 

Participants:

A group of 25 enthusiastic students from Bright Scholars School participated in the tour. They were selected based on their interest in Japanese cultural.

 

Activities:

The students engaged in a variety of activities designed to give them a comprehensive cultural experience. These included:

- Interactive sessions on Japanese language.

- Workshops on traditional Japanese arts and crafts.

- A presentation on the history and significance of cultural practices in Japan.

- A guided tour of the Japan Foundation's facilities and resources.

 

Acknowledgments:

The tour was made possible through the collaborative efforts of several individuals:

- Suzuki Sensei and Ms. Meeli from the Japan Foundation New Delhi (JFND), who arranged the visit and provided invaluable guidance throughout the tour.

- Dr. Kiran Dalal, the Principal of Bright Scholars School, who facilitated the organization of the trip.

- Dr. Gaurav Sharma, the Cultural Director, whose efforts in reaching out for such a cultural exchange were instrumental.

 

Conclusion:

The cultural tour to the Japan Foundation New Delhi was a resounding success. It provided the students with a unique educational experience and broadened their horizons. The 'Experience Japan' team extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the contributors and participants who made this event a memorable one.

 

Future Recommendations:

To build on the success of this tour, it is recommended that:

- Such cultural exchanges become a regular part of the school's annual activities.
